I’m sorry

Standard

I didn’t even check the last time that I posted, but I know it’s been a while.  I also have a lot of pictures to post, but they are still on the camera, and they will just have to wait another month or so, so that they are out of date and don’t make sense to you the reader or me the writer.  There has just been so much going on, I wish this computer was able to read my mind while I was out in the garden and transcribe it all for me.  Our squash was invaded by squash bugs and stem borers.  They were annihilated.  The yellow crookneck squash are down to two.  It drives me nuts also, because Paul thinks he can save things by transplanting them, but they died too.  It’s fine, it’s one of those trial and error farming things.  Paul had a master gardener come out for a consultation, and he said that next year our garden will be very nice.  That we have a great start, and where we are finding difficulties, like too much nitrogen, they will be resolved through a few simple techniques.  But what is going on that’s good you ask?  Our bell peppers (all varieties) tomatoes and basil are loving life.  However, they won’t be ready for a few more weeks.  I hope this gives everybody who’s been chomping at the bit for farm info a little bit of clarity…even if it was only a little bit.  Hopefully by this evening I will feel motivated enough to post the pictures and write some more.
