It happened

Standard

Last weekend sometime, we had an earthquake in these here parts.  Yes, you read that right, you don’t need to re-read it.  If you want to split hairs, Oklahoma, was the lucky recipients of the epicenter.  I don’t know why I haven’t mentioned it here on this forum yet, I had the time to let Facebookworld to know.  Psssh.  Moving on.  It was scary.  I was sitting alone in my kitchen, it was 9:30 pm or so.  I felt an unusual change in the force.  My Spidey senses were tingling.  A cupboard door was swinging open and closed, and I thought ‘oh shit’.  I also was really concerned for what was going on underneath my feet.  I grew up in California.  I’ve felt a few, then a few more.  There’s something not right, to me, about feeling an earthquake in Arkansas.  To put it frankly, I was freaked the f*** out.  It charged me up, adrenaline pumping.  I was shaky for at least an hour.  Around here, they drill for natural gasses.  From my understanding, people sell rights to their property to these companies, leases.  They use this process to extract them called fracking.  Everyone who brought it up last week in conversation, “Hey, did you feel the earthquake this weekend?”

“Yeah, wasn’t that freaky?…” and continue with their experiences….wait, there’s a point.  The point  is fracking.  n everyone’s conversation, FRACKING, was brought up.

This is a recent article about fracking from the BBC.

There are also those paid ads on google, so I clicked on one.  It lets you know how fracking is a great boon to us as a species.

I don’t know.  I just know I didn’t like it.
